U.S. Leaves Kosovo

The US has closed its 9 year old involvement in Kosovo. US forces will be replaced by a force from the EU. A small force of 150 US soldiers will remain, tasked only with hunting down the war criminals, Radovan Karadzic and Ratko Mladic. Who have evaded capture for the entire 9 years that the US has been in Kosovo. Another force of 100 US troops will remain in Sarajevo to act as liasons with the incoming EU force.

I find it interesting that we've not found Karadzic and Mladic after 9 years of searching. This is interesting to me because it shows that finding a single specific individual can be a daunting task. It is also interesting that the US public seems to be more patient in this case than in the case of Osama bin Laden. While I'll concede that neither directly attacked the US like bin Laden, it does show that patience is often required in this sort of manhunt.
