Recent reports indicate that Democrats in Congress have voted for a spate of subpoenas for a large number of officials in the Bush
White house. They of course claim that they are only
fulfilling the legislature's duty of oversight. I certainly want the congress to do their duty so I figured I might suggest a little light reading to help them to do the job right. Might I suggest a nifty little classic book name the
Malleus Maleficarum. It details all the acceptable tactics to use when engaging in a witch hunt. I mean how dare the Bush administration exercise
their right to replace federal prosecutors that were not doing their jobs. Just because these people serve at the pleasure of the President and can be removed and replaced with no reason what-so-ever. In fact Clinton removed all of them and replaced them with his cronies. How dare Bush remove even a few with rather lengthy complaint lists against them? Beyond that, it is absolutely clear that the Bush administration manufactured its reasons for going to war in Iraq. The interesting thing about that is I wasn't aware that all of those democrats like Bill Clinton who presented the same information were part of the Bush administration. While you're at it, why don't you do something really useful and investigate ACTUAL crimes... How about Sandy Berger stealing and destroying classified documents in an attempt to thwart the 9/11
commission's findings.
Or how about you open investigations into why Representative
Jeffersen was stashing cash in his freezer or Senator Reid's traitorous acts? Don't you really think there are better uses for my tax dollars than engaging in endless fishing expeditions all to make political points. I know the truth is less important to you than political power. This is all about stealing back the reins of power and getting revenge for the impeachment of Bill Clinton. So I guess if you're out to get the "truth" you wish to hear instead of the actual truth you might as well use all of the standard witch hunting tools. Just remember, there are some of us who are not as stupid as your constituents. We can see through your smokescreens straight to the festering malignancy that lies beneath.
