Details of Another School Shooting

This time the death toll was 3. Three certainly pales in comparison to the 33 lost at Virginia Tech, but you have some quick thinking students to thank for that. On January 16th 2002, Peter Odighizuwa entered the Appalachian School of Law (not far from VA Tech BTW) with his .380 pistol. He shot L. Anthony Sutin the Dean, Professor Thomas Blackwell and Angela Dales to death. Student Tracy Bridges helped put an end to the shooting spree by dashing to her vehicle, securing her personal firearm and holding Odighizuwa at bay while other students tackled and disarmed him.
