Where are you now?

Recent events have me utterly puzzled.  In the last few weeks the following has occurred...

In Egypt the secular military has unseated the muslim brotherhood backed president because he asserted himself as a tyrant and condoned attacks against Coptic Christians.  The military has cracked down on the muslim brotherhood and has been working on putting down their violent protests in the streets.  Our president has come out on the side of the muslim brotherhood - a group FIRMLY connected to al Qaeda.  They are a group who seeks to install sharia as the governing system in Egypt.  They are also the group that spawned Ayman al Zawahiri, the current global leader of al Qaeda.

In Syria, it is claimed that a chemical weapons attack has occurred.  There has been strong evidence that one three separate instances in the past, these attacks have been staged by the al Qaeda forces opposing the Assad regime.  Again, Obama has come out on the side of al Qaeda.

John Kerry stood in front of a camera citing this dubious evidence of WMD use as the justification to attack a foreign country.  Military planners are preparing plans to carry out the president's threat to attack and we've been told to expect actions "sooner rather than later".

When George W. Bush sent his secretaries out to justify an attack on a foreign country using the specter of WMD's, liberals lined up to scream foul, yet they are now absolutely silent now.  Where are they now?  Have they lost their voice?  Clearly their convictions are based solely upon the party affiliation held by the occupant of the white house.

I told them then and I'll reiterate it now - the time to speak is BEFORE American blood is spilled because once it is, we must support our sons and daughters deployed into harm's way.

I'm speaking now.  So should you.

Where are you?  If your outrage was indeed truthful then the fact that Obama is a democrat should not alter your convictions.

George W. Bush sought and received Congressional sanction for his actions in Iraq.  That was not enough for you.  Obama seeks no such sanction, as he has done many times before, he has decided to rule by fiat.  Yet that yields no ire from you?

The formula is so simple,  The situation is so clear and easy to adjudicate.  In Syria a tyrant who hates America and wants to kill Americans (in fact he already has killed quite a few) is killing people who hate America and want to kill Americans (and in fact they too have already killed quite a few).  Are you gullible enough to believe that if we help one side or the other that they will hate us less?  Their hatred is based solely on the fact that we are not muslims and until that changes (and we have to be the right "flavor" of muslims BTW) we will remain hated.  No all it will do is further inflame the other side against us.

We are handing these people weapons.  Congressional testimony has shown that the attack in Benghazi in fact was fueled by the local al Qaeda group's (Al Qaeda in the islamic Maghreb) desire to acquire hundreds of man-portable surface to air missiles that the Obama administration had collected from Qaddafi's left-over stockpiles and intended to funnel to the al Qaeda elements fighting in Syria.  It appears al Qaeda didn't like the price Obama was asking and simply took the weapons.  That's the secret he was hiding during the election by the way, the fact that he'd lost HUNDREDS of missiles that can take an airliner out of the air far easier than they can engage a combat aircraft that has counter measures against such weapons.

How does that work?  Obama wants al Qaeda to have weapons, MILITARY weapons.  He sends weapons to murderous Mexican drug gangs - MILITARY weapons but he doesn't want law abiding American citizens to have weapons that just LOOK LIKE military weapons?  On this point the anti-weapon left is also silent.

What do you think will happen to these weapons once al Qaeda is done using them against Assad?  Do you think perhaps they will glibly hand them back to Obama?

I am left to ask  "Where are they now?"  Where are the vocal anti-war protesters? Where's hideous old Cindy Sheehan and Code Pink?  Obviously they're just against Republican wars,  Where are YOU?  Where is your moral outrage at the very same transgressions that inflamed it just a few years ago?  Shame on you and shame on your feigned outrage.

My friends let me reiterate the situation.  There are people who hate us and want to kill us and have killed us killing EACH OTHER.  The only LOGICAL response is to do nothing but pray for a VERY high body count!  STAY OUT OF IT!  It is not worth a single drop of precious American blood or a single slim dime of treasure to prevent it.  In fact that would be counter productive.

Obama, why do you back militant Islamists and al Qaeda endangering your own people?

I paid a visit over at Carol's blog. There I found this rather cogent political cartoon:

Following it eventually yielded a few more Michael Ramirez cartoons that I liked from Townhall.com:

News Round Up 2/1/2012

Obama and the public must learn that in the future our success in Afghanistan will not be judged by WHEN we leave Afghanistan, but by HOW we leave Afghanistan! We've already precipitously ran away from Iraq leaving it in a shambles just to support this president's fragile ego... How many more brave troops will sacrifice their lives just so Obama can eventually throw that sacrifice away and snatch defeat from the jaws of victory? Oh well, he'll be replaced LONG before that artificial 2014 deadline.

Another unconstitutional no-knock raid gone awry, another innocent citizen placed in mortal danger and traumatized! These people are supposed to protect and serve US, not destroy our property and terrorize us in our homes. Who is going to end up paying for this mess? Not the idiot that ordered the raid on the wrong address, we, the American taxpayer will end up paying for it. I support the enforcement of our laws and the punishment of criminals, but the law enforcement officers doing the enforcement need to respect the 4th amendment more and be held personally responsible for these kinds of missteps.

Article: Romney: Campaign 'Not Concerned About the Very Poor'

We'll ignore the fact that they've taken this quote utterly out of context as I'm sure that's been covered profusely elsewhere. We have no "very poor" in this country. What we consider "very poor" here is living in the lap of luxury in most other places around the world. I've been to Africa and I've seen those who were truly "very poor". We are utterly mollycoddled and the sad thing is we don't even realize it. Here's a related post.

Article: First lady pushes Jay Leno to eat healthy foods

Why must this hulking, gauche, nouveau riche hag show her face everywhere. Can't she just be satisfied to sew utter terror in the hearts of the white house staff rather than inflicting herself on us all of the time?

Article: Indiana joins right-to-work ranks, gov. signs bill

Labor unions have out lived their usefulness. There was a time when they served a valid function, back in the robber baron era. Now all of the valid functions that they once served are so firmly ensconced in federal law/bureaucracy (i.e. minimum wage/OSHA/MSHA, etc,,,) The ONLY purpose labor unions have now is to provide for their continued existence by using monies extorted from the people they are supposed to serve to pervert our political process. Everyone complains about Washington's cozy relationship with "big business"... The cozy relationship with big labor is just as deleterious!

Article: Panetta: US combat in Afghanistan to end next year

Moronic! They've just made an appointment to hand the place back to the mujhis. Why have all of our best and bravest sacrifice their blood and toil if you're just going to squander it in the end? Liberals should NEVER command troops. They hardly ever serve (our military is MOSTLY conservative - so stuff that in your pipe and smoke it). They just haven't the experience to successfully command troops at war and CERTAINLY NOT the spine!

Article: Arizona Gov. Brewer gets book critique from Obama

What a pathetic, thin-skinned, petulant child! This man is supposed to be our president and can't comport himself with even the requisite level of decorum when someone disagrees with him. Perhaps that might be why Washington can't compromise! Even the much loathed George W. Bush was capable of graciousness when confronted with the most venomous criticisms ever leveled at a president.

Article: Ahmadinejad says Iran ready for nuclear talks

"Ahmadinejad says Iran ready for nuclear talks" I believe that... MILLIONS wouldn't but I do. This is just another stall tactic. Of course Obama will be dumb enough to buy into it, "See I knew my sanction approach would works... Say what is that mushroom shaped cloud doing over Saudi Arabia's oil fields?"

Article: Taxpayers still owed $132.9B from bailout: report

That would be the 132.9 billion dollar donation we taxpayers were "generous" enough to give the unions. Plan on seeing large chunks of it spent to reelect Obama.

Article: Cops: Man, 65, kills teen who knocks him off bicycle

Score another point for the necessity for concealed carry and the innate human right to self-defense.

Article: Gingrich vows to establish a colony on the moon

It would be refreshing to have a real space program with real attainable goals again. It might be a good idea to construct an expeditionary vessel in orbit that could be provisioned for long range exploratory trips to say Mars or the asteroids and the re-provisioned, re-tooled and reused for the next trip. There are a set of similar requirements that would mean the we could realize a real amount of savings with this approach... This would use the lessons we learned about the benefits of re-use from the space shuttle program.

Article: Low IQ & Conservative Beliefs Linked to Prejudice

Let me get this straight, a leftist from a left leaning school has designed a study to prove that we conservatives are stupid and prejudiced. Now there's a big surprise... It would have been a greater surprise if he'd arrived at a different outcome.

Article: Video: Divers find large, unexplained object at bottom of Baltic Sea

Interesting... Anyone care to speculate what it might be?

Article: U.S. to Iraq: don't "blow this opportunity"

Whether you agree with the decision to go to Iraq or not, it would be sad to see all the shed blood and spent treasure be for naught just because we were in a breakneck hurry to get out. But then again we've wasted so much lately why would I be daft enough to believe this would be any different?

Article: Panetta: US ground forces would be cut by 100,000

This is utterly, positively MORONIC!!! Third world nation status... Here we come! The liberals have redistributed all of our wealth around the globe and now Obama's going to squander all of our military supremacy... Why do I see more "leading from behind" in his future. I served in the military right after Jimmy Carter decimated it. We didn't even have parts to fix our vehicles. Half of them were red lined and unable to be moved. Compared to this travesty, that hardship was a walk in the park.

Article: Report: 36 Obama staffers delinquent on federal taxes

Hey Barack, maybe before you work on getting the rich to pay "their fair share" you ought to work on getting your people to do so first! Seriously, people in glass houses shouldn't toss rocks!

Article: Vets oppose speech by general who demonized Islamists

I frequently get crucified when I state the truth but here goes. The military is by and large conservative. In every annual Stars and Stripes poll, soldiers self-identify to at least 70%, as being conservative. Are there liberal veterans? Of course, but they are the vastest minority (and are just the ones that haven't yet learned which side their bread is buttered on). Now, to this particular group, VoteVets... The majority of their membership does not claim to be veterans. There has been a large number of their members who do claim to be veterans identified as perpetrators of what we veterans call "stolen valor"; low-life posers who claim to be veterans or actual veterans who inflate the nature of their service. This organization is a George Soros financed liberal venture just like move-on.org or ACORN. The fact that such a group would not wish to be told about the true nature of our enemies... does not surprise me in the least.

Article: Russian scientist claims signs of life spotted on Venus

Well life does exist under crushing pressures and high temperatures at black smokers. That has proven that life is a bit more tenacious than we had previously thought... -BUT- There has been a long history of hucksters seeing things in the pixelization of probe images... Does anyone remember that lunatic Richard Hoagland and the whole "face on Mars" debacle? That whack-job is still seeing things in NASA pictures.

Article:
Romney defeat exposes significant weaknesses for potential battle with Obama

Look, Romney is from the "I'll say anything you want to hear to get your vote" wing of the Republican party. That in and of itself makes his candidacy dubious in my eyes. Beyond that, he's been the presumptive nominee ever since McCain's pathetic attempt to get into office (That was another one I tried to warn you all about!). The Obama reelection team has been honing their message with Mitt as their hand selected intended target... You don't think it's just happenstance that liberal operatives are invading our parks and caterwauling about the 99% versus the 1% do you? If ever-a-wever a 1%er there was, the Mitt is one because because! This is the guy they've pre-built their strategy to take down. Now all that remains is for us to send that sheep to the slaughter.

Article: Rand Paul in Pat-Down Standoff With TSA in Nashville

Now comes the interesting part... per the Constitution, a US Congressman can not legally be detained or prevented from travelling to fulfill their responsibility to vote. How does this play out now? TSA versus the Constitution. This is a duel that has been a LONG time in coming! I'd like to see it taken up by the SCOTUS!

Article: Report: Russia to deliver combat jets to Syria

Well those should come in handy to gun down protesters in the streets... I wonder why Libyan protesters were worthy of NATO intervention, but Syrian protesters are not. The reason it really bugs me is because removing the Assad dynasty should have been a priority ever since they bombed the Marine barracks in Lebanon.

Article: The Broken Dreams of Obama's First Term

This reads as a veritable list of horrors that our Tea Party representatives have protected us from. Who say it's a do-little Congress?

Article: Police need warrant for GPS tracking: court

This was a correct decision. Our fourth amendment rights (like all of them) have been under serious assault lately. It is time that we start reining things in. Is it really that big of a hindrance to stop for a moment and ask a judge for a warrant? I don't think so. Now they need to correct that travesty of a decision on eminent domain... right after tossing Obamacare in the dung heap.

Article: Marine pleads guilty, ending final Haditha trial

Here we see the end of the whole "Haditha Affair". Remember that? John Murtha, (a supposed marine himself) claiming that our marines were running a-muck in Iraq "murdering women and children in cold blood"... What was the end effect of all of this? Well charges were dismissed against ALL of the marines involved, save one. No the libs needed a scapegoat, a sacrificial cow, one Staff Sergeant Wutterich. The best they could do against him was saddle him with a charge of "dereliction of duty". This was a case where our marines were hit with an IED and in the process of reacting to that attack, a large number of civilians, even some women and children were killed in collateral damage. (and of course our enemies never set things up that way on purpose right?) This again was a situation where smarmy armchair general liberals sitting safe, fat and cowardly in their arm chairs were trying to dictate how men under fire should react in the heat of battle. Oh the much ballyhooed liberal "moral high ground"... Makes you want to puke doesn't it? As if the "party of perversity" has a clue what morals are! Listen if you haven't been there, in the combat boots, don't open that ill-informed stinking hole under your nose.

If you want a real education in the liberal version of support for our troops... Scroll down to the bottom of the linked article and read some of the comments left by our liberal fellow Americans.

Happy Dirt Nap Day!!!

Navy SEALs took out Osama bin Laden Yesterday. Thank You! I can not say that often enough! We all know that Obama will try to take credit for this victory, but this victory is come in spite of and not because of his anemic leadership. Early released details indicate that actionable intelligence was initially gleaned from Kalid Shiek Mohammed's interview. That information was later corroborated during the interview of Abu Farraj al Libbi. This intelligence was then worked by our operatives in the CIA on the ground in Pakistan. Obama of course would have NEVER collected this infromation from these two men and the democrats have also felt free to hold our CIA operatives up to prosecution for doing the unseemly things that at times need to be done to protect us.

It was also reported that bin Laden's body was disposed of at sea to prevent any shrine from being built for him. I hope they stuffed every orifice with bacon before they tossed his worthless carcass overboard!

Now ol' Zawahiri and the traitor Gadahn better be some ducking and runnin' mo' fo's because pretty soon you're going to look like your boss!

==== UPDATE ====

As the news has slowly spooled out regarding bin Laden's death there are some interesting tidbits to share. True to form the anointed one is storming about claiming this as his great victory and vindication for his administration. How convenient that is, considering that he's been taking one hell of a shellacking in the opinion polls lately. Well, there are a few details that he is of course NOT heralding from the roof tops.

Remember how terrible the democrats find all those "secret CIA prisons abroad"? The intelligence that broke bin Laden's location was collected there.

Remember how terrible they find water boarding? The intelligence was extracted using that technique. Beyond that, the information that corroborated it was also collected by these means.

Remember what a terrible intrusion they thought it was to intercept telephone calls placed to terrorists? Well guess what... The courier who exposed bin Laden's location revealed himself during one of those intercepted phone calls.

All of these intelligence collection activities happened BEFORE Obama took office.

None of these things would have been presumably done under the Obama administration. He can honestly only take credit for giving the order to mount the operation and nothing more. A publicity coup fell into his lap in his greatest time of need and he seized it with both hands. That is his only courageous act, an act of selfish self promotion.

To date he's not credited the president who actually presided over the collection of the information. He's not admitted that he may have been wrong about the utility of the practices that brought the leads to light. That would require true character and true courage and we all know he does not possess even the slightest modicum of those traits.

Bin Laden's death is OF COURSE a great boon for the United States. It was a great feat for our intelligence operators fighting in the trenches to protect us. It bear stark testament to the bravery of our troops and it pin points, like a spotlight what an opportunistic leach of a glory hog our current president is. Don't give him and his parasitic followers the satisfaction.

The standard troop of muslim apologists have marched forward to claim that killing bin Laden was improper and that disposing of his worthless carcass at sea was an insult and not in keeping with expected muslim burial practices. They threatened that these facts will inspire more of their insane fellow muslims to participate in the jihad... Well guess what, no matter what we do, you freaks find it a reason to hate and kill us... BUT we will find a way to get you, even in spite of the protection of nations like Pakistan and in spite of any inept leadership that happens to sit in our oval office. We will be avenged and you will suffer bin Laden's fate.

The Egyptian Crisis - A Question of Morals

There's been a lot of coverage on the news lately about the uprisings throughout the Middle East, most especially in Egypt . Many of the commentators have been making doomsday prognostications of a repeat of the Iranian revolution, claiming that the Muslim Brotherhood may rise to power in the turmoil. I've also heard many making excuses for America 's support of Mubarik saying things like, "better to support a dictator than to have chaos".

Let me make myself absolutely clear. America has a clearly stated set of over-arching collective morals. Our forefathers proclaimed those morals loudly and boldly to the whole world saying:
"We hold these truths to be self-evident that all men are created equal, endowed by their creator with certain inalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness."
This statement put for the first time to pen something that every person has always known instinctually in their inner core. This incontrovertible truth must be our answer in every such foreign policy case. To see success, we must be true to our core beliefs and live that bold and unprecedented truth to its fullest.

All too often we've side-stepped these principles and paid the grim price. We've supported one despot after another out of expedience. We've allowed an enemy of our enemy to be our friend. We must never do that again. A deal with a devil inevitably and invariably ends up costing you your soul. We have paid that dire price far too frequently. Those who wish to harm this country from within have often used this sort of expedient relationship to point out how base and evil America is. We are indeed imperfect and must learn finally and at long last from the error or our ways.

America must always stand on the side of liberty. Expedient deals with dictators may get you what you want in the short term. It may prevent a war now that would make your political waters perilous, but to avoid the short-sighted mistakes of the past our stance should always be that self determination is the inalienable right of all men.

Sure, the people may choose poor leaders (Heck even we have elected our current disastrous president). Some time ago, a frequent critic of mine cynically pointed out the results of the election in the Gaza strip where Hamas came to power as an example of how my belief was flawed. These things do happen, but we must support the will of the people and fight to preserve their right to choose. We must do this because while the fervor of the moment may lead the masses to a poor choice, inevitably free men will choose peace. So if they elect a dictator, we must oppose the ability of that elected dictator to prevent being removed when the people change their minds. Our only response to such an unpropitious choice in leadership is to insist on preserving their freedom to choose more appropriate leadership once they have tired of the predations of the thugs they've chosen and to isolate those governments we disagree with to hasten the people's reawakening.

Modern progressive liberals see this as their core conundrum. They despise the fact that men are fallible and believe that an all-powerful government is the only way to dispense with the fallibility of man and thus protect us from ourselves. They strive to create perfection with more regulation and ever more complicated and convoluted laws intended to address every odd edge case. But that government too is a fallible construct of fallible men. Chasing perfection is a fool's errand. Instead I choose to believe that the majority of men long for peace, seek justice and are innately good and with that in mind, I cast my wholehearted support behind the notion that the fallibilities of man will come and go and that they are always best countered by allowing free men to learn from the errors of their ways.

I've heard many from the left say that we can not "impose" freedom on a place. In response to that I am going to say something that I do not often say. That stance is utterly and absolutely un-American. It flies in the face of that preeminent foundational statement of our collective morals made so many years ago. The words expressed are not that "All white men are created equal" or "All men in this country" or even "All men in this hemisphere". It states that unequivocally ALL men, wherever they may happen to exist, are created to be equals and that they have at the center of their being a right to liberty and self determination. If you seek peace, then we must strive to introduce freedom in every land and have a responsibility to impose the will of the people over every despot that constrains freedom. For only when all men are truly free will we as a species experience lasting and durable peace.

Gadahn Nabbed

The Pakistani government has announced the capture of Adam Gadahn this morning. You do not know how long I have awaited the day that this traitorous piece of dung is pulled out of circulation. To al Quaeda he is known as Azzam al Amriki (Azzam the American). To me he is know as a walking corpse. I just hope that Obama doesn't pardon him. With my luck he will. I just hope he gets a nice horny Biker as a cell mate. Oh well at least he's done helping our enemies.

The Afghan Plan

So last night Obama rolled out his new plan for Afghanistan. Paraphrased it was, "We're going to send a bunch more of you military types over there to die before we surrender." Obama was also very careful to not give his handpicked General the number of troops he asked for. I mean god forbid that it look like he was bowing to the military. He saves that for foreign royalty. Well royalty and the far left of his party that is.

I would really like to know what the hell happened to the Roosevelt Democrats. I fear they are an extinct species. Here I thought the libs were all over preserving endangered species... Guess you all dropped the ball on that one huh?

Thundering Silence

If you click the title of this post you will be taken to the news article that served as the impetus for this post. The title of the article reads, "July, August deadliest months of Afghan war for US". Ever since we as a nation rolled into Afghanistan following 9/11 and later in Iraq the liberal masses lined the streets protesting the war. They claimed that they were "supporting the troops".
At the time, I insisted that they did not really care about the troops in the least. I was lambasted by them. They wondered how I could say such a thing. Clearly they cared about the troops because they just wanted to get them out of danger. Where are you now my hypocritical liberal friends? Where are your protests against Obama's inept handling of the war? Our troops are still dying in Iraq and now they are dying in greater numbers than ever before in Afghanistan. Where is your outrage and concern for their welfare now? Where are the poorly crafted facsimiles of Obama being burned in effigy? Why is Cindy Sheehan not camped outside Obama's house in Chicago?

Nowhere! That is where your protests are. I am thus vindicated. You do not care about the troops in the least! Not only that, but I am also vindicated in asserting that you have no idea how to handle troops. Your man's fat fingered efforts to fight "the right war", the one in Afghanistan is proving that. His ineptitude has bathed his hands in the blood of patriots.

I Stand With You

While Barack Obama might be reticent to say that he supports the unrest in Iran, I am not afraid to say that I support the protesters. While Barack supports perpetrators of election fraud like ACORN, I am willing to say that the voice of the population of a country should not ignored or stifled. While Obama is busy curtailing the rights of his own people, I am willing to say that I cheer the attempt of the people of Iran to rise up and seize their rights from the greedy clutches of an oppressive regime. Yes my friends, Barack Hussein Obama might not support the attempts of the people of Iran to oust the unjust regime that he wishes to reach his hand out to, but I do!

Here is a video of a protester that was shot during the unrest:

Here is another:

An Atmosphere of Fear

Prior to the election of the sainted Barack, any time the specter of terrorism arose in political discourse our liberal foes would lower their crooked, boney fingers accusingly and shriek the words "fear monger!" Indeed we had been attacked. In fact, more people died in the attack on 9/11 than died during the attack that launched this nation into World War II. Of course the libs denied in droves that it was terrorists that perpetrated that attack. It was of course our own government that killed all of those people they posited.

This perception that we were "using fear" was bolstered by the fact that the much hated president Bush had been so very effective at preventing further attacks. Our men and women in uniform had taken the fight to the terrorists' home turf and kept them busy there. Our national security agencies had managed to break up every attempt to cause us further harm. The libs were lulled into a false sense of security.

Well now that atmosphere of fear mongering has of course subsided. The holy Hussein has ascended his throne and now everything is goodness and light, right?

Well no. Obama is trying to shove trillion dollar spending packages down our throat so fast that no one can look under the covers to see what a bitter pill that package truly is! He tries to sell it as an economic stimulus package. Of course no one is stupid enough to believe that a trillion dollars worth of condoms, dog parks, butterfly resorts, gifts for perpetrators of voter fraud and STD research is going to stimulate a damned thing (except for the egos of the liberal legislators that take their seats in the Kremlin of the new USSA). Everyone with a clear mind sees that this "stimulus" package is nothing more than a tool to cram pork and liberal societal engineering experiments down our throats.

What is Obama using as a shoe horn to cram this thing down our throats? Why nothing but good old fashioned fear mongering of course! If you don't pass the "stimulus" package then the economy is going to crater and "500 million Americans" a month are going to lose their jobs (never mind the fact that there are only about 300 million Americans Ms. Pelosi). The economic Aramagedon will of course be horrendous if Barry doesn't get his raft of needless spending.

What is the specter he is trying to avert? Why a recession of course. What is a recession really? In my mind a recession is nothing more than the American consumer getting a piss poor attitude and deciding to hold on to their cash. It really isn't anything more than that. Some glitch happens in the markets and the consumers get spooked and stop spending. There is no systemic flaw that causes a recession there isn't anything that can be done to stop it from happening beyond changing the mind set of the consumer. How does tossing all of this needless fear mongering about positively effect the attitude of the consumer? Simply said, it doesn't. In fact it makes it worse.

So when we raised the specter of a real determined enemy that wants to do us true harm we were worthless fear mongers but when Barry-boy tries to cram a trillion dollars worth of spending and social engineering down our throats using fear of nothing more than a bad attitude, that's perfectly OK! Mass-murderers are not to be feared, but a consumer with a piss-poor attitude that is dire! Right!

The American voter isn't that stupid. Support for the "stimulus" bill initially started out being very high. Many pollsters placed the support level at 78-80%. But as soon as the details of what this sham of a deal contained were released the support rocketted into the cellar. Now the pollsters place the support for this monstrosity down around 30-35%. Of course it doesn't matter what the hell the American people want. Washington is deaf to our pleas! Washigton has been deaf to our pleas for decades and the election of Barry-boy will not do a damned thing but deepen that trend.

Speaking of those terrorists that want to do us harm... What has the wunderkind been up to in that arena? Why of course he's stopping the prosecution of them of course. Sending the message that if you slaughter American service members then you will not face any retribution.

During the election we were not supposed to mention Obama's close ties to islam, but now that he's in office he's running around the world himself touting them as strong suits and kissing muslim ass on al-Jazeera. He is actively proving that he detests our military service members. He counts their sacrifices for nothing! On the other hand god forbid that some muslim terrorist pig fucker is inconvenienced by having to hang out in Gitmo or by being tried for planning the murder of American sailors!

Shame on you Barry and shame on you America for allowing this idiot into office.

Oh Poor Pitiful Me

Click the title of this post to read the AP article that inspired it... That article details the first release of a video of an interrogation of a POW at Gitmo.

The POW in question is the 16 year old Canadian, Omar Khadr who was captured after being wounded during a firefight in Afghanistan in which among other things, he threw a grenade which killed Special Forces medic, SFC Christopher Speer and blinded another soldier Layne Morris. He is one of a family of Egyptian terrorists with Canadian citizenship.

Liberals have attempted to paint this video as proof absolute of the inhumane conditions at Gitmo and the "harsh" treatment these "poor" POW's are receiving. They seem to have their panties in a bunch about the fact that this is a "child" and as such should not be treated like a POW instead he should be eating ice cream and making prom plans instead of being "tortured" by his American swine captors.

Look, this is a child. That is true. Legally, in the US a 16 year old is considered a child... In most other countries of the world however a 16 year old is considered a man. A 16 year old is indeed capable of pulling a trigger and tossing a grenade. A 16 year old is additionally capable of telling right from wrong. I mean a two year old will lie about their misbehaviour, proving that even at that early age they are forming the ability to distinguish right from wrong. You see the development of this ability is nearly finished by the time a child reaches the age of 16, it doesn't suddenly spring into existence overnight when a child reaches their 18th birthday. Children are tried as adults in our courts here all the time and they are certainly not enemy combatants! I've seen 5 year olds acting as the heads of households in AIDS riddled Africa and children far younger than this kid carrying rifles in the militaries of many countries. Attempting to use this misguided youth as some poster child to indict our troops of "abuses" is ridiculous. It attempts to impose American sensibilities on parts of the world where they couldn't be any more alien.

In the article one of Khadr's lawyers is quoted as saying, "We hope that the Canadian government will finally come to recognize that the so-called legal process that has been put in place to deal with Omar Khadr's situation is grossly unfair and abusive. It's not appropriate to simply allow this process to run its course."

It is actually unfair to allow this person to go unpunished for causing the death of Christopher Speer and for maiming of Layne Morris.

Another quoted person describes Khadr as a "screwed up young man" whose trust had been abused by just about everyone who had ever been responsible for him — including his family and the U.S. military.

Listen, the world is full of screwed up young men who often grow to become screwed up old men and these screwed up people perform atrocious acts at any and all stages of life. His history and "screwed up" status does not excuse his actions nor does it indicate that any mercy is indicated.

The fact that he is indeed sitting in front of a camera alive and talking to a Canadian interrogator is certainly far superior to the alternative that has been presented to every American prisoner in this conflict. That in itself is the ultimate form of mercy and far more than this person deserves. Charles Manson was at some point a "screwed up young man" and the same could be said of Adolf Hitler, Jeffrey Dahmer and any number of other infamous personalities.

If you misguided bleeding heart liberals are so sure that this "kid" is a poor misunderstood cherub, how about we let him stay with you in your house?

If you don't believe that this person belongs in Gitmo then explain how he wound up without parental oversight in the company of Arab terrorists in Afghanistan hundreds of miles from Egypt and and thousands of miles from Canada at the tender age of 15.

The muslims aren't out to get us!

Click the title to see the article that makes this claim.

This is pretty standard liberal tactics. Let me point the problem area out for you:
The survey, conducted by the Gallup polling agency over six years and
three continents, seeks to dispel the belief held by some in the West that Islam
itself is the driving force of radicalism.

Do you see it? A true poll does not seek to dispel anything. A poll's only purpose should be to establish the sentiments of those polled. If one engineers a poll with a mind to "dispel" something then you should not be surprised that they succeed.

Allow me to say that it does not surprise me that the vast majority of muslims are not radicals. What does surprise me is that they are not more vocal and active against those who are. Where are their voices raised in opposition to their religions leaders' calls in Mecca for death to the USA? I couldn't give a rat's ass what these people say on an anonymous poll. That doesn't count for a hill of beans. What counts, is the way these people guide their religion and religious leaders by consensus to moderation. So far, they have failed and are therefore irrelevant. What counts is how they guide their children to become contributing members of global society. On both of these counts the moderate muslims fail.

I am not saying that the majority of muslims are terrorists. What I am saying is that the majority of muslims are too cowardly to speak out and retake their religion. So the terrorists may not be the majority, but they hold the reins and the rest allow that to occur and that makes this stupid poll absolutely meaningless.

Friend or Foe

The Son of Lybian strong man, Mouammar Gadhafi, Seif al-Islam Gadhafi is sponsoring and leading a terrorist cell inside Iraq, in the northern city of Mosul. In recent years Gadhafi senior has been making moves to bring his nation back into the mainstream, but it would appear that his son is swinging for the other team! So while his father is recanting his previous terrorist activities, the son is propagating more.

Gadhafi has already lost one son to the force of American arms, perhaps it's time for him to lose another.

This type of thing abounds, from Gadhafi to Putin's little bomber escapades, I am tired of being sold a bill of goods by these foreign countries. Either you are with us or you are against us.

We have the liberals to thank for it. Their activities have made us look weak in the eyes of our foes. How do they think you can ever achieve any accommodation in the international arena if you are dealing from a position of weakness? This is especially true with dictators. The only thing they understand is strength. It's how they came to power and how they maintain the reins of power.

Cherry Picking

Click the title above and read the linked New York Times article.

Allow me to call your attention to the following quote from Rahm Emanuel (D IL):

“Instead of a new strategy for Iraq, the Bush administration is cherry-picking the data to support their political objectives, and preparing a report that will offer another defense of the president’s strategy.”

Allow me to ask a simple question... By dismissing General Petraeus' report outright, prior to even receiving it, are you not "cherry picking" yourself? You've already arrived at the conclusion that you are against us winning the war under any circumstances. Why not simply be honest and tell the American people that you have arrived at a decision and do not care what the General reports, your mind can not be changed. The American people aren't stupid... Well other than the lot that you duped into voting you into office. We see through your pitiful ploy.

Fatah & Hamas

You've no doubt heard in the news of the problems occurring in the Palestinian territories over the last few days. If not, here's a brief synopsis. On January 9th, 2005 Mahmoud Abbas was elected to replace Yassir Arafat as the Prime Minister of the Palestinian Authority. At first the West rejoiced, because Abbas was a moderate. It seemed that Israel would have a reliable partner in negotiations. From the onset however, Abbas had problems reeling in the hardliners of the the Hamas sect. Hamas insisted on continuing terror attacks against Israel, launching homemade rockets out of the Gaza Strip at civilian targets in Israel.

On January 25th, 2006 Parliamentary elections were held. Much to everyone's dismay, Hamas swept to victory in a majority of the races. The victory of this hard-line terrorist group quickly dashed any hopes of a negotiated peace.

From January of 2006 to the present Mahmoud Abbas and the elected Hamas officials have been involved in a constant push and shove, with Abbas constantly trying to drag Hamas kicking a screaming into the peace process. Hamas consistently resisted. They'd agree to one ceasefire after another only to immediately break it. At issue was the continued existence of the Israeli state.

In the past few days, Hamas has risen up against Abbas in the Gaza strip. In quick order and with an abundance of violence, Hamas secured the entirety of the Gaza strip. Abbas and Fatah has maintained their hold on the West Bank (thus far). Mahmoud Abbas has dissolved the Palestinian government.

Personally I has always wondered how this was supposed to work. Not only the Fatah/Hamas division of power, but also the idea of an independent Palestinian state. How could a country exist in two geographically separated enclaves?

Perhaps Hamas has settled that issue for us. If Abbas and Fatah can maintain control of the West Bank, that would mean that one would end up with two separate governments. A presumably more moderate one based in the West Bank and an extremist one in the Gaza Strip. The media has made much hay of the fact, that there would be a terrorist led country directly on Israel's border, but I would contend that they've had that all along. This would simply localize then to a single enclave. Perhaps this will allow at least some of the Palestinian people; those in the West Bank, to find a peaceful existence with Israel. Then again, perhaps not.

This is none-the-less a very dynamic situation that we will need to keep our eyes on as things transpire.

U.S. fire "mistakenly" kills 8 Afghan cops

Here's another glaring example of media bias... Have a look at the title of the article. If you were just to read the title, you would automatically say that the American troops were at fault for the act of fratricide. Read the article however and you find the following:
"Afghan police fired four dozen grenades and U.S.-led coalition troops fought
back with helicopter gunships in a fierce battle that left eight officers dead"

This article has been edited several times from its original version to attempt to disguise the fact that the Afghan police fired on an American patrol, who returned fire, killing the police. Sure it really sucks that we accidentally killed allies, but what do you expect when those allies are firing on our troops? This article has been so intentionally construed to disguise the true facts that it is an obvious case of media bias, brought to you courtesy of the Associated Press.
