"It actually becomes quite scary for many people. It creates a chilling effect in the ability of our society to carry on honest communication."Here's what the police had to say:
"The larger the gun, the more menacing the situation,"
"To me, this is craziness. When you bring a loaded gun, particularly a loaded assault rifle, to any political event, but particularly to one where the president is appearing, you're just making the situation dangerous for everyone."
"Phoenix police said the gun-toters at Monday's event, including the man carrying an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle slung over his shoulder, didn't need permits. No crimes were committed, and no one was arrested."So all this outrage with no broken laws, no threats, no carnage... You see, the problem is that the mere sight of a firearm is scary to the left. The fact of the matter is, our nation was founded acknowledging a person's inalienable right to keep and bear arms. They of course spew the normal things they always spew... if a gun looks scary, it must obviously be more dangerous.

"The Secret Service contacted The Associated Press on Wednesday and asked for copies of the leaked e-mails, which circulated widely on the Internet. The AP did not comply."So the AP refuses to help the Secret Service to investigate the crime... nice.

The survey, conducted by the Gallup polling agency over six years and
three continents, seeks to dispel the belief held by some in the West that Islam
itself is the driving force of radicalism.

At least 121 Iraq and Afghanistan war veterans have committed a killing or been charged in one in the United States after returning from combat, The New York Times reported Sunday. The newspaper said it also logged 349 homicides involving all active-duty military personnel and new veterans in the six years since military action began in Afghanistan, and later Iraq. This is pretty standard liberal tactics. This is the New York Times here reporting that they've accumulated a list of 121 war veterans that have "committed a killing or been charged in one". That's a pretty broad statement... Charged by whom? Were they guilty? There have been a number of the troops who've been charged for killing enemy combatants or noncombatants (due to collateral damage) in the execution of their duties. Do you remember the Haditha Marines? You know the ones that were held in jail like common criminals for performing their duty who've all been since cleared of all wrong doing.
Here's another major rub. If you disband the army so that no one can be turned into a potential murderer, a ticking time bomb. Who stands between you and those unwashed hoards who have no such refined liberal points of view? Who is there to deal with Hannibal? As I said before, sure, wars can harm people. And yes, returning veterans may suffer some mental anguish or trauma if they are exposed to particularly egregious situations. Some of those suffering mental trauma may indeed act out violently but what alternative do you have? If no one rises up voluntarily to offer resistance to an aggressor, then the ones who are placed in those " particularly egregious situations" may be you! It is time for all people of good conscience to rise up and denounce this baseless, tasteless slander of the men and women who've chanced the most for everyone's benefit. The New York Times should be ashamed... but that's another thing liberals lack... a sense of shame.Labels: military, Press Bias, Rants
